“Brian and Pippa Get Married” to Air Thursday November 24th in RTÉ TWO at 10pm
Brian and Pippa Get Married, a 1 hour Pop Doc produced by Straywave Media and commission by RTÉ Television will air November 24th on RTÉ TWO.
Brian Ormond and Pippa O’Connor are one of Ireland’s most famous celebrity couples.
Brian is one of Ireland’s best loved TV presenters and Pippa, one of Ireland’s Top Models.
They got married on June 18 2011 and had their reception at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in County Wicklow. Narrated by Brian Dowling ( Big Brother, CDUK, Celebrity Salon) this show follows the couple on the road to the wedding and captures the ups, downs, drama and fun as they prepare for the most important day in their life.
With exclusive access to the couple we get to see all the major events and decision making in the lead up to the big day. We see the couple as they grapple with the all the challenges of planning a wedding from big details like the contentious guest list to small details like picking the cake – we are there for it all. We chart the journey as they go from the early joy and fun of planning to the stress of the final budget and how to pay for it all.
From Mickey Joe Harte, Brian’s Best Man to Brian Dowling, Pippa’s honorary bridesmaid – there are plenty of familiar faces in their circle of friends that help along they way.
The show has everything for the wedding aficionados out there – the rings, the dress, the venue, the hen, stag, the bridesmaids, groomsmen and the big day itself in all it’s glory.
On the surface the show is about a modern Irish society wedding, but ultimately it is about a young couple in love who behind the scenes face the same challenges and struggles as most Irish couples do on the way to their wedding.
THE SHOW AIRS NOVEMBER 24th at 10pm RTÉ TWO.
Produced by Stephen McCormack and John Norton
